The Opera Bouffe Company

Stanley and Darbyshire's Grand Juvenile Opera Bouffe Company appeared j in the Towu Hall on Saturday evening, and in spite of the inclemency of the weather there was a very good attendance. In fact it was very apparent that only a fine night was needed to completely fill the hall. The youngsters were evidently very happy and in splendid irim for their work oC rendering " Pinafore," which we must say they went through in magnificent, style. So perfect indeed was their acting, that although only juveniles, there was scarcely anything of juvenility about their perforrnaace, and certainly nothing strictly " childish" but their size Had the sound of their voices, the latter being extremely sweet. We are perhaps safe in saying that no company has yet appeared in Feilding whose performance was so highly appreciated, and certainly such storms of genuine applause have seldom or never before gveeted any performers on the Town Hall stage.

Last night the company was met by a orowded house to see and hear the rendition of "Les Cloches tie Corneville," which was gone through in snch splendid style, and without the least apparent fault, that the young people richly deserred the frequent torrents of enthusiastic applause by which th« large and enraptured audience expressed their delight. All the little folba did their parts extremely woll, but we must especially mention the perfect acting of Master Willie Driscoll, as Gaspard, the miser, Master C. Fanager, as The Bailie, and Miss Dolly In .-.-an as Gobo, whose performances, so thoroughly natural, and yet so extremely ludicrous, created the greatest pleasantry and perfect roars of iaugliter. Little Queeny Hodge, a dot about 7 years of age, should not be fori gotten, who by her tiny appearance, and sweetly graceful acting of Gertrude secured the affectionate esteem of eTeryono present. The rou3ic of the oreheßtra was excellent, snd altogether the company is far and away the bt>st that has yet appeared here, and it may be long before the Feilding public will hare a like opportunity' of enjoying such a rich treat. .
