The proposed Company will be formed ior the purpose of taking over the well-known established and going business concerns of Messrs Lewers, Loudon, '1 homi'son, and Haybittle, Oeneral Storekeepers, as now carried on at Feilding, and to continue and extend she same under tbe provisions of " The Companies Act, 1882." It is proposed to divide th>- businesses into three separate Departments — one to consist of Orapery, Clorhinv, nnd Boots, oneol Ironmongery, Hardware, China and Gl"ss, and tbe other of Groceries and Provisions. This arrangement will avoid the necessity of keeping on hand duplicate and triplicate supplies of stock as done at the present time by the proprietors of the several businesses n--w proposed to be taken overThe stock in trade, working plant, and live stock in connection with the several businesses at the time of tbe formntiou of the Compauy will be taken over at a valuation. Tbe premises now in the occupation of Messrs Loudon, Lewers and Thompson will be leased by the Company I for a term of years, and the stock divided and kept in separate departments as above. Messrs Loudon and Haybittle have offered their services as managers of two r.f the departments and the third will be filled by a manager us soon as a competent man can be obtaiu d, and in the meantime provision will be made for the management of this deprrrrment. An agreement haa been entered into da : ed the Ist day ot Octob r, 1883, between Messrs Loudon, Lewers, Thompson., and Haybittle as vendors, and the Provisional Directors I as purchasers for the sale .-md purchase ' of the good will and stocks of the several businesses of the vendors. With the proposed capital tbe Company will be in a position to make all their purchases lor C \ SH, thereby obtaining the trade discount. With the support of & numerous body of shareholders as customers the directors have every reason to hope that the business of tho Company will far exceed that at present done by the four establishments which it is now proposed to take over. Ihe Company will also be in a position to import all their wares and goods direct from the best manulaeturies in England and elsewhere, thereby saving the importers' charges and profits, and other trade expenses. 'ihe purchase and export of produce will also form part of the business of the Company, and it iB considered that a large profit will be made trom tide source also. The liability is limited to the amount of the shares taken.
