Nominated Immigration.
4* The following are the pat ticulars of the steps necessary tj be taken by persons desirous of nominating their f -icds for passages from the Home Conntry to this Colony. The proper forms wili be supplied on application to the nearest Immigration Officer, either in person or by post. These forms are to b; filled in by the nominator, and returned to the I.nmigration Officer: —1. Applications for passages will be considered in *he following order:— (a) Cases of separate families ; li) Cases where relatives nominate relatives; (c) Nominations of single women who are not related; (_) Nominations of friends not included in the above classes. 2. Payment iv cash
must be made at th< following rate*, by , the nominators, ot the time of making : their nominations?, namely :— Passage- ; movey — Married men under 45 years of i age, £5 ; single meu under 35 yours of ! aye, £5 ; mar. ied women under 45 years : of age, free; single women under 35 years j of age, free; widows without young children, under 45 years of age, free. In cases of nomina'.ious of persons over the above ages, full pas?age-money must be paid, the rate for which at present is £14 7s Gd. Children in one family between 12 months and 12 years, if not more than three in number, free ; if race than three children, between tbe ages sta'ed above, are in one faiui'y, full passage-money must be paid for eacb child above the number of three, the present rate for which is £8 7s 6d. Outfit-money— All adults, either ma'e or female, eacb £1; children between 12 months and 12 year 9, each 10s. 3. In cases of nominations for passages of persons of skilled trades, a guarantee must he given hy the nominator that he or she will provide tbe nominee with employment on arrival. 4. As the Englrsh mail by way of San Francisco leaves WeUingion on every fourth. Saturday, the Immigration Officers' nomination schedules must be closed and posted so as to arrive at the Head Offic at Wellington not later than tbe previous Wednesday. 5. Persons making nominations must distinctly understand that their nominations are only conditionally accepted, pending approval of the 4 gent-General and the Government, of the persons nominated.
