"i he promoters of racing sweeps under ihe pseudonym of " Loco Spero" whose character was recently exposed by the Herald, levanted with the money which had been subscribed by the public to various sweeps. The amount collected hy ihe absconders prior to their defalcation ia estimated at £11,000.
