Munro, storekeeper of this town, haying leased it from Nathan and Co., of Wellington. The late owners held an anotion : sale last Saturday, Monday,' and Tuesday of the remains of their old stook, and as the attendance was large and the bidding spirited, caused, some say, by too free an indulgence in "Bob Bydders" ale, Messrs Nathan and Co. will hare no cause to complain. •• Sterens and Gortos's sale on Tuesday was largely attended, and good prices were realized for all stocks offered. The first annual meeting of the Clifton Swimming Club is called for next Friday; to receire th© annual report, and to elect officers loir the ensuing season.
