The following telegram was receired by the Secretary of the Marine Department from the Collector of Cnstoms at hristchurch :— " Captain Jensen, of the schooner Herald, reports being in company ;' «rith a ketich between Benmore and Flax- < bourne Both were making bad weather and about noon she disappeared. The , Herald bore ofF in the direction, and passed four hatches arid broken bulwarks, * but no crew, ThiswasontfielStHOct." <
