It is proposed to divide th--* businesses into three separate Departments — one to consist of Drapery, Clothing, and Boots, one ot Ironmongery, Hardware, China aud Glass, and the other of Groceries aud Provisions. This arrangement will avoid the necessity of keeping on hand duplicate and triplicate supplies of stock as done at the present time by the proprietors of the several businesses n-/w proposed to be taken overThe stock in trade, working plant, and live stock in connection with tbe several businesses at the time of the formation of the Company will be taken over at a valuation. Tbe premises now in tbe occupation of Messrs Loudon, Lewers and Thompson will be leased by the Company for a term of years, and the stock divided and kept in separate departments as above. Messrs Loudon and Haybittle have offered their services as managers of two ofthe .departments and tbe third will be filled by a manager as soon as a competent man can be obtain d, and in the meantime prorision will be made for the management of this department. An agreement has been entered into da'ed the Ist day ot October, 1883, between Messrs Loudon, Lewers, Thompson, and Haybittle as vendors, and the Provisional Directors as purchasers for the sale and purchase , of tbe good will and stocks of the several Businesses of the vendors. With the proposed capital the Company wili be in a position to make all their purchases for CASH, thereby obtaining the trade discount. With the support of a numerous body of shareholders as' customers the directors have every reason** to hope that the busi net's of the Company will far exceed that at present done by the four establishments which it is now nropoeed to take over. ihe Company will also be in a position to import all their wares and goods direct from the best manufacturies iv England and elsewhere, thereby saving the importers' charges and profits, and other trade expenses. The purchase and export of produce will also form part of the business of the Company, and it is considered that a large profit will be made from this source also. The liability is limited to the amount of the shares taken. A pplications for shares maybe made at the Company's temporary offices, Kimbolton road, Feilding, and at the branches of the bankers, of the Company in Feilding, Palmerston, handon, Bulls and Marton, or with Mr R.
