The proposed Company will be formed for the purpose of takiny over the well-known established andg-oinjr business concerns of Messrs Lewers, l.oudon, Thompson, and llayl»ittif>, ' General Storekeepers, as now carried on at Foildinjr, and to continue and extend Uiesame under the provisions of " The Companies Act, 1582." It is proposed to divide th« businesses into three separate Departments — one to consist of Drapery, Clothing, and Boots, one ot Ironmongery, Hardware, China ami Gl»ss, and the other of (Groceries and Provisions. This arrangement will avoid the necessity of keeping on hand duplicate nncl triplicate supplies of stock as done at the present time by the proprietors of the several businesses n-w proposed to be taken over The stock in trade, working plant, and live stock in connection with thf» several businesses at the lime of rhe formation of the Company will be taken over at aTuluation. The premises now in the occupation of Messrs Loudon, Lewers and Thompson will be leased by the Company for a term of years, a/id the stock divided and kept in separate departments as above. Messrs Loudoa and Haybittle have offered their services as managers of two of the departments and the third will be filled by a manager as soon as a compet'-nt man can be obtain d, and in the meantime provision will be made for the inuu a»ement of this department. An agreement has been entered into da'ed the Ist day ot October, 1883, between Messrs Loudon, Lewers, Thompson, and Haybittle as vendors, and the Provisional Directors as purchasers for the sale smd purchase of the pood will and stacks of the several i usi nesses of the vendors. With the proposed capital the Company will be in a position to make all their purchases for C \ Sfl, thereby obtaining the trade discount. With thi support of. a numerous body of shareholders as customeis the directors have every reason to' hope that the business of the Company will far exceed that at present done by the four establishments which it is now uroposed to take over. Ihe Company will also be in a position to import all thoir warea and goods direct from the best manufacturies in England and elsewhere, thereby saving the anportArs' charges and profits, arid other trade expenses 'Jhe purchase and export of produce will also form part of the business of the Company, and it is considered that a large profit will be made from this source also. The liability is limited to the amount of the shares taken. Applications for shares may be made at the Company's temporary offices, Kirabilton road, Feilding, and at the branches of the bankers of the Company in Feilding, Pal merßton,>andon, Bulls and Marton, or with "Mr.R.
