It is proposed to divide thr businesses into three separate DeparMnents — one to consist of Drapery, Clothing, and Biiot.s. oiieof Ironmongery, Hardware, China and Gl^ss. and the oth» j r of Groceries and Provisions. This arrau^ement will avoid the necessity of kee|i!ii£ on hand duplicate and triplicate supplies of stock as done at the present lime Ijy the proprietors of the several businesses n--w proposed to be rakeu over. The stock in trade, working plant, and live stock in connection with the several businesses at the time of rhe formation of the Company will be (&ken over at a valuation. The premises now in the occupation of Messrs Loudon, Lewers and Thompson will be leased oy the Company for a term of years, and the stock divided and kept in separate departments as above. Messrs Loudou and Haylnttle have offered their services as managers of two of the departments and the third will be filled by a manager as soon as a competent man can be obtaiu d, and in the meantime provision will be made for ihe management of this department. With the proposed capital the Company will be in a position to make all. their purchases tor C \SH, thereby obtaining- the trade discount- With the support of a numerous body of sharehclders.as customeis the directors have every reason to hope that the business of the Company will far exceed that at present done by the four establishments which it is now proposed to take over. !he Company will also be in a position to import all their wares and goods direct from the best manufacturies iv England and elsewhere, thereby saving the importers' charges and profits, and other trade expensed, 'ihe purchase and expoitol'pnKhice will also form part of the business of the Company, and it is considered that a larg-e profit will be made , from this oource also. ,; . .
