The proposed Company will be formed for the purpose of takintr over the well-known established and going business concerns of Messrs Lewerg, I.oudon, lhompson, and Hayhittle, General .storekeepers, as now carried on at Feilding, and to continue and extend :,hesame under the provisions of " Ihe Companies Act, 1882." It is proposed to divide th- businesses into three separate Departments — one fo consist of Drapery, Clothing, and Boots, or;e of Ironmongery, Hardware, China aud Gl^ss, and the other of Groceries and Provisions. This arrangement will avoid the necessity of keeping on hand duplicate and triplicate supplies of stock as done at the present time by the proprietors of the several businesses n>>w proposed to be taken over The stock in trade, working plant, aud live stock in connection with the several businesses at the time of the formation of the Company will be taken over at a valuation. The premises now in the uccupation of Messrs Loudon, Lewers and Thompson will be leased by the Company for a term of years, and the stock divided ami kept in separate departments as above. Messrs Loudou and | Haybittle haw offered their services us managers of two <-f the departments and the third uill be filled by a manager as soon as a competent man can be obtain d, and in the meantime provision will be made for the man agiment of this department. With the proposed capital the Company will be in a position to make all their purchases for C iSH, thereby obtaining the trade discount. With the support of a numerous body of shareholders as customers the directors have every reason to hope that the business of the Company will far exceed that at present done by the four establishments which it is now proposed to take over. Ihe Company will also be in a position to import all their wares and goods direct from the best manufacturies iv England and elsewhere, thereby saving the importers' charges and profits, and other trade expenses. '1 he purchase and export of produce will also form part of the business of the Company, and it is considered that a large profit will be made from this source also. The liability is limited to the amount of the shares taken.
