[PER UNITED 78888 ASSOCIATION.] Palmebston North. lTri» Day. Last nij?ht a man named Thomas Nelson, a bushman, attempted to poison himself with half an ounce of landanvm. This morning a man named Dingledy, a tailor, attempted to commit suicide by taking rermin killer. He wrote a letter, stating what he had done* and gay* himself up at. the police station. In both cases medical assistance, was at haftd im> mediately, andjbofli lires saved.
