STOCK SALE. Messrs Halcombe and Sherwill held a sale of stock yesterday at their Warwick s'reet sale yards. The attendance wns large and the bidding fairly brUk. 234 head of cattle and -117 sheep were yarded. Prices realised :— Beef (cows), L 4 10s; beef (balloeks), LG 12s (id; 3-yr steers, L 4 2s 6d to IA ds ; 2-yr steers. L 3 to Li 5s ; 3-yr heifers, 2 5-s to L 2 10s ; cows, L 2 6s to L 3 ; milch cows, L3to Lo 15s ; yearlings, Ll 15s to L 2 ; calves. Ll 5s to Ll 7s 6d ; fat sheep (ewes), JlsCd offered and refused; fat sheep (wethers), 13s; store wethers. 10s 9d ; hoggets, 5s 9d ; hacks, L 3, L 3 Bs, Lo, and L7— indifferent quality.
