London, October 1. O'Donnell has been committed fo r trial. Messrs Fullerton and Pryor. American lawyers, have been engaged to defend him, and 8,000 dollars have been subscribed for a defence fund. An extensive conspiracy has been detected in St. Petersburg. One hundred and fifty officers have been arrested as being implicated, and a large quantity of arms, gunpowder, and bombs have been | seized. The London night police are now armed with revolvers. A gunpowder explosion at Villena has destroyed 16 houses, and caused the loss of 26 lives. In a riot at Omagb several Orangemen and Leagures were wounded, and a number of arrests have been mode. Telegrams to hand from Switzerland state that Miss Booth, who was recently expelled from Charlesworth, with other members of the Salvation Army, has been brought up for trial on a charge of creating a public disturbance, and acquitted. Received October 4. 1.5 a.m. Pabis, October 2. Latest authentic information fully confirms the reports that have beeu current of a split in the Cabinet here, and it is understood that Ministers only await the meeting of the Chamber, which takes place on the 23rd inst., to announce the fact, lt is stated that Ministers consider they have been treated with discourtesy and indignity by M. Grevy, and complain of the President's interference with the official actions of bis son-in-law, M. Wilson. M. Antome, deputy for the city of Metz, has been arrested at the order of the Government on a charge of treason. Madkid, October 2 King Alfonso returned to this city today, and was welcomed with great enthusiasm by the populace. His Majesty received an ovation of unequalled magnificence, and was warmly cheered along the route by the populace. An open reception was held by the King during the day at the palace. It is estimated tbat thirty thousand persons took part in the proceedings. London. Oct. 3. Sir Stafford Northcote, who is now visiting North Ireland, arrived yesterday at Belfast, where a fete was organised in his honor.
