STEVENS AND GORTON'S STOCK REPORT. Bulls, September 21. At our sale here on the 18th, 300 head of cattle and 300 sheep were yarded. The attendance was cood and tbe bidding for steers spirited, but the demand for female stock was limited. The prices realised for sheep weie good, a demand existing for all classes. The following were the prices : - Yearling and 18 month steers, £2 14s 6d ; 2\ to 3-year steers, £4 12s ; cows and heifers, £2 12s 6d to £5 ; milch, from £5 to £7 ; hand fed calves, 21i ; fat wethers, 16s 6d ; forward store wethers, 10s 9d ; hoggets, mixed, 9s 3d to 10s ; hacks, from £5 to £10— fair demand. After the stock sale nbont three tons ot potatoes were sold. Local grown, £4 10s per ton ; Kakanui seed potatoes, good quality, £6 10s per toir
