Assaulting a Reporter.
(PER UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION.) Dcnedin, This Day. At the city court, Thomas Ireland, for assaulting A'bert Cohen, a reporter of the Dunedin Star, was fined 40s and costs (£3 6s), or seven days. The paragraph arose out of a paragraph recently inserted re a horsewhipping case, but all evidence as to this was excluded by the Bench.
