At a meeting of Land Leaguers on Saturday at Carrick-oii Shannon, which was attended by 50,000, a resolution was carried that the Irish people will never rest until they hare a Parliament of their own. The contracts for supply of provisions to the British troops stationed in Egypt ore to bo renewed for six months. The Morning Post, in reviewing the annexation question, expresses the opinion that Lord Derby is not entitled to represent the colonies, and says that his recent despatch betrays a misconception as to the relations existing between Australia and England, and at present it is impossible to predict of what duration the union with Australia will be. It adds that Australia has acquired the right to determine what measures are necessary for her own protection, and that these colonies will (iu a similar way to America,) soon be obliged to protect themselves. The awards for the Amsterdam Exhibition hare been proclaimed. They include diplomas of honor to the King of Holland and the Prince of Wales, an extra class award to Sir Saul Samuel, and ordinary diplomas to the Governments of N ew South Wales and Western Australia. Egypt is nearly free from cholera. The frozen Australian mutton ex Cuzco has realised s£d per pound, and the New Zealaad mutton by the Opawa, from the Bluff, 6|d. The recent Act cancelling seventy- five millions of N stional debt, and exchanging it for annuities, is being put in force.
