-* The " Vagabond" tells one of his Ota»o experiences os follows : — " A number of men, their horses' tails and manes ornamented with ribbons, gree-' us vivaciously. 'They are coming from the wedding/ the courteous driver tells me. At a well-known and a popular hostelry alon_» the road the d-nighte*** of tho house was yesterday m:v ried, and the festivities ore . only just over. Shortly we arrive at the place. There has been a real high old time. O'erpress with liquor and sleep, prostrate forms are strewed on the floor of the parlor. 'Ihey have fallen like leaves in Vallamhrosa. Every room in the house is so occupied, and the bride, in her wedding dress, is washing up the glasses ; whilst the bridegroon, pober, but sleepy, a-ks all our party to hnve a drink ! We take on board .-ome young damsels who have been at the dance. It is astonishing how fresh they look after being up all the night. The fiddler is also a passenger. He is reported to be the ' boss' player on the yoldfields. At the present moment he is About as drunk as it is pos. i bin for mortal man to be."
