Special to "Star." reutek's telegrams. Received August 28, 2 p.m.] Vienna, August 27. A serious agitation against the Magyars has broken out in the Crotia district, Southern Austria. A state of seige haa been declared. Troops have been despatched to the scene of the disturbance. Reports are to hand of continuous Auti-Jewish rioting in West Hungary. Troops were called out, and several conflicts with the rioters have taken place, in which numbers on both sides were killed and wounded. B.vtavia, August 27. A volcnnic eruption has broken out on the island of Cracatus in the straits of Sunda. The outburst is terrific. .News is to hand from Anjlo and Serang on the Java Coast, that a serious influx of sen has been experienced, and much damage hns been caused to both places. William Nash, third hand on tbe cutter Sovereign of the Seas, was knocked overboard nnd drowned when the vessel was jibing off Great Barrier on Friday last. Invercabgill. T'n is Day. A fire roomed cottage, owned by Reid, and occpied by W. Arthur, a painter, was burned down this morning. Nothing was saved, and the origin of the fire is unknown. The furnilure was insured for £150 in the South British, which will not cover the loss.
