Arrived, this morning, the Union Company's steamship Haurolo, from Lyttel-. ton. .The Agricultural Society's exhibition was opened to-day by His Excellency the Governor in the presence of a large t number of distinguished visitors. The I exhibition is considered very successful jas regard s the number and .quality of I the exhibits, and was largely attended • during tho afternoon. The New Soath Wales Parliament assembles for the despatch of business during the first week in October.' It has been proposed that a memorial shall be erected to the memory of the late Archbishop Vaughan, aad active steps are now being taken to raise funds for that purpose.
