Horticulture.

We ndfiee that the peach and othar fruit tree*, both in the town and district, arc fast coming into blossom, and there arc so far indications of the coming season being a good one, not only fcr fruit, but also for flowers and vegetables of even description, for producing which ♦•hie district is so eminently adapted, and can already favorably compare with any

settlement in the colon}' of a like ago aad progress. Much of tlie success that has attendi-d the pursuit of horticulture in l he Alnncliesi.er Block lias been due (o the impetus given to it by that well-con-ducted, popular, and prosperous institution, the Muni'hesler Horticultural Society, th© biennial exhibitions of which attract both competitors and vitutors from ninny miles around, and oven bo far as Wangsinui. Almost each succeeding show is better than the one before it, and gives additional proof of the fertility of our soil, the increased attention which is being given to cultivation, the determination of the settlers to produce first-class specimens, and of the society to assist and encourage them in so doing. We believe the forthcoming spring show will quite equal, if not surpass, any of its predecessors, and would urge upon the society to hold their annual meeting as soon as possible, and lay down the plans for the coaling season's operations.
