A private lunatic asylum at Southall, nine miles from London, was totally destroyed by fire last night, and five of the inmates perished in the flames. Telegram* are to hand from Gibraltar reporting the steamer Gharzie, bound from London to Australia, ran into and sank the steamer Welwyn near Cape St. Vincent. The Gharzie put into Gibraltar to repair damages. All the pas«en» gers and crew of the Welwyn were rescued before the vessel went down. The homeward Suez mails, dated Melbourne, July 2nd, were delivered here yesterday. Pa bis, August 14. The Comte d» Chambord is reported to be dying, and his medical attendants have given up all hopes of his recovery. The Orleans princes have been summoned to Frousdorf, the seat of the Comte de Chambord.
