The Harbor Boardlßlock.
We quote the following from the Chronicle report of & iK^tln^ of the "Wanganui Harbor Board b>'ld on. luesday last:— Mr Hassell's report upon the roads necesgary to open up ilie unsold sections on the south-easterly portion of the Board's Manawatu Endowment Block was read. Mr HasseTs estimate of the cost of tbe required roads was £642. On tbe motion of Mr B&lUnce, it •was resolved, That tbe roads be made to section 32, a^d Trig. Station to tlietopof section 69- Ibe proper time to begin the road making was left to the Engineer. Mr Hasseil said the roads just agreed to would open up 2000 acres, of whicli both soil and bush were good, and that the roads in question would cost about £45U. It was resolved, That a letter be sent to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, requesting that the whole of the surveyed portion of the endowment block be put up for sale upon deferred payments. The settlers on the block will be glad to learn of this concession.
