CORRESPONDENCE.
S(?h<rol Hours. TO TKB BDITOB 6f THE STAB. Sib,— A short time ago the committee alteredtEijiJoor^ opening .she school from 9to 9^o cum. frith the riew, as it was thoognt. Of inducing greater punctuality in the mprnin^ attendance. {Now as a inatter of fact,||e attendance is less punctual than when the school opened half *n hour earli^.' I think the alteration rery undesirable. It makes the afternoon session^tK) long for sonje of the ' smaller children, tiitree o'clock being quite late^nough fojf t|em to be kept a't their lessons. MoreoTer it makes it very late before the pupif teachers get away from their worlds they haycij to stay a long time after $he school dotes. All experience teaches thkt there is nothing like {he morning for study and learning, and even if there could beV any reason for a later time for opening flaring: the winter month* this could scarcely, hold good for tffe spring and summer aow coming on. — t am, &c, "'V-, i ; _ * Patbb.
