' It is currently reported here that ] Motley, one of the witnesses in the trial of Timothy Keliy, who was hanged tor the murder of Lord F. Cavendish and Mr Burke, has been murdered at Philadelphia. , London, August 2. It has peen decided that the trial of O'Donnell for the murder of James Carey, at Port Elizabeth, shall take place in England, and the prisoner will accordingly be sent back to this country under arrest. Th- frozen meat by the steamer John Elder is selling at sixpence per pound. The carcasses of mutton are small and inferior to previous shipments. At Dublin, men and women dancpd around bonfires in celebration of the , informer Carey's death. The newspaper , offices were thronged with an excited crowd when the news was received, and great enthusiasm was manifested. A dangerous Nihilist conspiracy is reported from St. Petersburg, and many arrests have been made in connection therewith. Caibo, August 2. Thirteen t> ore denths occurred from cholera among the British troops stationed in this country; notwithstanding the stringent measures which have been adopted to preserve the health of the men.
