County Meetings.
When the question of where the meet* ings of the Council are to be held comes up for discussion, no doubt a great deal will be said on the relative advantages offered by Palmerston and Feilding as the Count}' Town. On this point we have nothing to say ourselves as it will not materially affect the question. We will, however, mention that as the County Chairman is a resident in Feilding, he ought to have ready access to all books and documents appertaining to County business, for the little time that the ( 'ounty system is likely to be in force Some mention is made in a contemporary as to the train system not not being convenient. We fail to see this, and even if it were so, considerable alterations iv the time table are about to be made on the opening of the line to Manutahi, any objection which exists on that score will then be removed altogether. Feilding is the most central township in the County, and for that reason alone ought to be the. recognised regular place of meeting of the County Council.
