George Thomas reports produce prices as follows : — Flour, fully stocked at £11 5s to £11 Ids. Oats, without alteration, ruling from 2s 2d to 2s 6d, according to quality. Oatmeal, slightly weaker at £13. Fowl wheat — very prime samples are retailing at 3s Gd per bushel, common sorts may be obtained at a much lower rate. Barley, dull sale at 2s 9d ; maize, 4s ; prime potatoes, £3 5s to £3 10s; second rate do, from £2 l<>s to £2 15s, sacks extra ; pollard, firm at £5 10s to £6 ; bran, £4 10s ; cheese, prime quality, 7d to 7£d. The market is glutted with hams and bacon ; for smoked. 9d all round, and farmers' cure 7d is a proper quolauon.
