The N.Z.L. & M.A. Company report under date July 12; — Hides. Dunepin.— Supply and demand are on an even footing. Values continuing the same as last month, say 3d for light, 4tl for medium, and 4|d for extra heavy. Chhistchubch — The demand is fairly active, and with only moderate supplies, the market is firm at last quotations. Auckland, — The demand is in excess [of usual quantities. Good hides have I sold at 2£d to 2£d per lb. Wellington. — All coming to hand are readily placed at former quotations. Napier. — All oflering find ready sale at prices ranging from 8d to 3fd.
