Dunedin Gaol Inquiry.

[PEB "UNITED PBEBS ASSOOIATIOS'.T Wellington, This. Day. The Commissioners appointed to inquire into the management of the Dunedin Gaol sat here this morning,; and took the evidence of the Dunedin prisoner, Cnmmich, who has been transferred to Wellington. Cummick spoke strongly against Mr Caldwell, and his evidence was not at all favourable to the management. The prisoner also gave evidence as to witnessing improprieties between male and female prisoners. The inquiry was adjourned until Wednesday morning.
