It was found necpssiuy to e.-il! out the military in the j' neighborhood before the rioters could be dispersed and order restored. Alexandria, July 14. The mortality from cholera is now generally decreasing. The epidemic, however, continues to spread, and cases have appeared at Talka Bclkas and Chobae. Capetown, July 15. Since the recent engagements between CVtewayo and Oham, in which the followers of the latter were defeated, , Oham himself being captured, further j fighting has taken plaee, resulting in the j defeat of the followers of Cctewayo.
