Feilding School Committee.

« A meeting of the Feilding School Committee was held last night at the school house. Present — Messrs Thompson (Chairman), Foster (Sec), Watts, Towler, and Worsfold. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Letters were received from the Education Board, Wanganui, re committee appointed by the Board to report on school matters, <fee. Letter accepting Mrs Dowling's resignation was forwarded to that lady. Accounts to the value of £8 7s 6d were passed. The tender of Mr Watts for building a bell tower was accepted. The report of the head teacher was read re school attendance for the quarter ended June 30. The average attendance was 174, out of 262 names on the roll. The meeting then adjourned.
