■ STOCK SAL7<I. Messrs Halcornbo and Sliprvrill held a sale of stock yesterday at the yards of Stevens aud Gorton, Feilding. Although the attendance was good, the bidding was any thing but lively. Store bullocks only fetched 475 ; steers, 58s ; yearlings, 275 ; beef, £6 12s 6d. Cows were inferior, and realised only 16s to 38s. A large number of sheep were offered, most of which, however, were passed in A. few lots of ewes were knocked down at 10s sd. Several horses were offered, but only one or two sold, £5 5s being the price paid for hacks.
