The customs returns for the colony for last month amounted to JL'I()S,SIS 8s lOd, the returns for ])riucipal places being — Dunedin, £30,413 IBs 5d ; Auckland, £22.8 ii 15s 9d ; Wellington, £17,141 5s 3d ; Lytlelton and Chrislclmreli, £13,513 11s 9cl. Tlie returns for the colony for June, ISB2, was £110,187 19s lid. The beer duty lust, month was £1186 Gs B<l. Corresponding month of last year, £4093 6s 6d. The returns of the beer tax from the principal towns for June. 1803, was £11,998 3s Id. Dunedin, £975 13s 2d ; Auckland, £813 9s Id; Wellington. £288 7s 3d.
