It. M. Pemberton, engineer, of Sanson, has filed his schedule. lenders close at 4 pm. on Thursday next for protective works for the Kiwitea Bridge. A notice to members of the old Kai Iwi Cavalry Corps will be found else* where. A meeting of the Oddfellows' Lodge will be held this evening, at the Tomplars' Hall, at 7.30 p.m. Professor H. Sample, the celebrated Ame:*ican horse trainer, will lecture in the Town Hall to-morrow night. Tenders are invited for the erection of a school at Stanway, Halcombe. Tenders may be seen at Mr Tompkins' store, Halcombe. Messrs Halcombe and Sherwill will sell by auction, on Friday, 6th of July, a varied selection of fruit and ornamental trees and shrubs. An important announcement, re the sale of Crown Lands, from the Commissioner of Crown Lands, appears in another column. Messrs Halcombe and Sherwill will hold their stock sale at the Warwick-st. sale yards at 1.30 p.m. to-morrow. A large number of stock are catalogued.
