[PBB UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION.! Mastebton, This Day. A dwelling house at the Te Ore Ore station was burnt down this morning. The insurance on the house and furniture is £650 in the North British. TLo pioprietor, Thompson, had to bolt out of the burning house without dressing. Auckland, This Day. Faughly and Welsh, gumdiggers, are supposed to hare been drowned while bathing at Kaipara. The former is a relation of a contractor at Auckland. The latter is not known to have any relatives in the colony. Mr J. Weaver, passenger by the City of New York, comes to New Zealand in the interest of tne Standard 00l Company, of Cleveland, Ohio, to bore oil wells here. Chbistchtthch, This Day. Special services were held at tbe Wesleyan Churches here yesterday in memory of the late Revs. Thomas Buddie and Hobbs. , A chili two y'errs old was burned to death at Le Bon's Bay. on Tuesday last. It was left by its mother in the kitchen, and must have ignited its clothes at the fire.
