A largely attended meeting of miners was held last evening at Dillman's Town, re Ihe abolition of the gold duty. The following resolutions were oarried. "That in the opinion of this meeting it is most desirable that the gold duty be abolished, being unjust, and retarding the mining industry, and that miners and residents in the district petition Parliament for the total abolition." "That, in order to strengthen the hands of our representatives in Parliament, all other mining districts in the colony be invited to cooperate." " That the County Chairman be asked to forward the first resolu'ion to Mr Seddon, and also to MrDelantour, the Chairman of Gold Fields Committee, and ask him for his co-operation; also that of all other Gold Fields members." A strong committee was appointed to draw up the petition and obtain signatures thereto. Wellington, This Day. In the Divorce Court to-day a decree uisi was granted in the case Johnston v. Johnfton.
