Returns for Taieri Beach and Glenhedie have yet to come, but cannot effect result. Auckland, This Day. Fears are entertained for the safety of the brig Moa, which left Dunedin on the 23rd May for Kaipara, and has never been heard of. The body of the man drowned off the wharf last night was recovered this afternoon, and identified as that of J. Downey, of Glasgow, lately employed as gforeman in the engine room of the Penguin. A man named Yorke also fell off the wharf last night, and narrowly escaped being crushed to death between the wharf and the steamer Coromandel. A seaman named Wilson, of the Rotomahana, jumped overboard with a rope and rescued him.
