The Promenade Concert.
The attendance at the concert held in the Town Hall on Thursday evening, in aid of the Church of England Sunday School Building Fund, was very good. The efforts of the various performers were generally well appreciated and warmly applauded. Where all did so well, we are unwilling to make invidious distinctions by giving a detailed description of the performance, which on the whole gave every satisfaction. We may mention, however, that while it was designated a promenade concert, very little, if any, promenading was done. The refreshments were all that could be desired, and were well patronised. Tbe performance was brought to a close by the choral company and the audience singing the National Anthem.
