COMMERCIAL.
Chbistchubch, June 16. Large quantities of wheat are selling at 2s 6d to 2s 9d. Flour, £11 to £1 1 10s per ton for trade parcels. Oats are quiet at Is lOd to 2s for short samples, and Is 6d to Is lid for long. Barley continues nominal. Potatoes move at 27s 6d to 32s 6d. Butter is depressed at lOd. Cheese is also neglected at sd. < ams and Bacon at 8d per Ib. The quality should be vqfj good this season, owing to bo much damaged grain being available for feeding purposes. The N. Z. L. & M. A. Company report under date, 14th of June : — WELLINGTON. Tallow and Fat. — Notwithstanding the recent fall in English values, the demand for shipment and local consumption continues firm, without any material variation from last reported prices. Hides. — The market is without change, all offering being readily placed at previous quotations. Sheepskins. — These are keenly enquired for, and no difficulty is found in placing, at satisfactory figures, all ccming forward.
