Australian Droughts.
The Dubbo correspond ent of a Sydney paper, writing of the drought of last'siutumn, says : — " One pa Mock, in which 23,000 sheep were placed aft.er last -hearing, produces now only 1.600 sheep, and the remainder must be looked for in the b»aps of bleached b<-nes scarred around, and the skoloiotis ;<> be observed at. every stop. Another station, which had in Sept., 1881, 20.000 sheep, now can only rnustei 5000; and these two instances, which are given by way of example, are only illustrative of th»» losses on nearly every station within 100 miles of Dubbo."
