STOCK SALE.

Messrs Halcombe and Sherwill held a sale at their Feilding yards on Thursday. The attendance was good, but the bidding was not very brisk, especially for cattle, and only about half of the lots offered passed off. The following prices were realised -.—Yearlings, £1 10s to £1 15s 6d ; dairy cows, £1 4s to £4 ; steen, £4 8s ; heifers, £4; beef, £4 to £6 103. Of sheep a good number changed hands at following rates: — Ewes, 2 and 4 tooth, 7s 6d to 13s 9d ; store wethers, 7s sd ; fat ewes and wethers, 7s 6d to 12s ; fat merinos, 7s 6d ; lambs, 3s. A number of horses were offered, but only a few sold. Hacks, £3 5s to £'6 15s ; draught, £14.
