A bricklayer's laborer named Mclntyre had a drunken quarrel with his wife, who refused to give him more money for drink. , He then produced a revolver and fired at her. lhe woman fled upstairs, and her husband^ with the poker in one hand and the revolver in the other, followed her, knocked her down, and beat her fearfully over the head with the poker, leaving her for dead. He then went downstairs, and shot himself through the head, death being instantaneous.. The woman is not expected .to. recover. She has been shot in thei breast, a-nd the doctors have extracted the bullet, but the wounds on her head are of a terrible character. '
