Mr Service's colleagues fully endorse his views regarding the annexation of New Hebrides. The Argus approved of the same, and insists that the colonies should contribute to the expense of the annexation. The Age has despatched Morrison, who recently walked from the Gulf of Carpentaria to Melbourne, to explore New Guinea. Adelaide, This Day. The Adelaide Chamber of Commerce supports Mr Tvrcrpenny's proposal to hold a colonial exhibition. The Melbourne Age suggests that the proposed exhibition in London should be held under the auspices of the Colonial Institute. ,-■ Launceston, This Day. The Ship Asterope, 602 tons, from London to this port, h ashore at Low Head. The cargo is valued at £6.000 (?).
