In the House of Commons last night, the Premier was questioned regarding negotiations which, it is alleged, have been entrusted to Errington, M.P, for Longford, at the Papal Court. In reply, Mr Gladstone admitted that in the interests of peace the Government had availed themselxes of Errington's visit to Rome to lay before the Pope an explanation of the situation in Ireland. Telegrams are to hand rt porting that H.M. Coast Guard Ship, Lively, has been stranded at Stornoway, in the Hebrides, and has suffered considerable damage. Caibo, June 7. The trial of Daond Pasha, the instigator of the burning of Alexandria after the evacuation of Arabi's troops in July last, concluded to-day. The prisoner was fonnd guilty and sentenced to death. Constantinople, June 7. News has been received here reporting that the Albanians are offering determined opposition to the cession of Montenegro. Seyeral stubborn encounters have taken place with the Turkish troops who have been despatched against them.
