Feilding Deputation.
The Hon. Walteb Johkotobt has sent the following replies to the resolutions passed at the public meeting held on Monday, the 28th May. Tbey may be considered satisfactory, especially that part wbich relates to the survey of tho ruilway line: — "Tbata survey will bemade of tbe Oroua Valley route as far as tbe crossing of the Hautapu stream, where the route from Marton joins; That the road trom Bunnythorpe to the Oroua
cannot be proclaimed a ma n rn-ul this y*?ar, but when tbe new county is substituted the council can apply next year. In the meantime the application has been handed to the surreyor*general to ensure it not being lost sight of; The separation petition has been handed to tbe Colonial Secretary for presentation to the Gover nor: A separate answer will be sent re carriage of milk as soon as the necessary enquiries have been made : That the pressure of public business will prevent Mr Johnston from meeting his constituents in Feilding before the session."
