The Hon. Walteb Johkotobt has sent the following replies to the resolutions passed at the public meeting held on Monday, the 28th May. In the meantime the application has been handed to the surreyor*general to ensure it not being lost sight of; The separation petition has been handed to tbe Colonial Secretary for presentation to the Gover nor: A separate answer will be sent re carriage of milk as soon as the necessary enquiries have been made : That the pressure of public business will prevent Mr Johnston from meeting his constituents in Feilding before the session."
