The Willmott Troupe.
As we predicted, the enterprise of the manager of this talented company was rewarded by a bumper house on Saturday night, giving still further proof that the company has fully established its popularity with the play-goers of Feilding and districts. While a good attendance was in any case to be expected, it is not'toomnch to believe that the voting for the Borough loan, especially during the-latterpart of the day, had something to do with bringing into town many of the visitors present at the entertainment, and several of whom were heard to say they - would go -and have an evening's amuse"on the strength " of the loan being carried. The company produced a grand treble bill of fare, of three hours' duration, comprising a charming commedietta " The Kiss in the Dark," a historical drama -"Crammond Brig," and the side-splitting burlesque oi " Aladdin, or the Larrikin Scamp." The performance on Saturday evening was a great success. Last evening " Uncle Tom's Cabin" was played to. a crowded house. The company left to-day for Palmerston.
