The Frank Willmott Troupe.

+■ *: -..*.' :.; 1'.,. This talented company appeared at the 1 Town Hall last evening. The perform, ance was not well attended, bnt the vari- , ' ous artistes performed their several parts '.„• most excellently, although it was patent to the audience that the bitter cold air somewhat chilled their energies. "The Irish- Emigrant" was first on the " bill of - the play," and notwithstanding the complete absence of any proper scenic assist, ance* was well played and received.. '■■ Mr Rede as Tom Bobalink and Miss Sate -•'■ Howarde as Mary Travers, rendered their parts to the life, and Mr Hesford ail " o 'Bryan was very good. The "realistic ' Irish stew" was put on the table, and, the 1 ' ' audience were made painfully, aware thaf " ' it had been burnt in cooking, so ihe fumes were far from pleasant. The audience. were somewhat scaring in their applause, during the first , part of lie . performance.: but when " Cinderella" . was begnn it was continuously and rap--turously bestowed. • Miss Amy .Johns was delightful as Prince Poppetti, and Miss Crawford, as Dandini, . was , charming. Miss. Amy Nelson, as Cinderella, secured plenty of applause, bat OJorinda — Mr Wilkinson — was the "Belle of the Ball." The make up was "soul inspired" and the shouts of merry- laughter forced „^ from the audience testified to the ability * of the actor. Mr Frank Simmonds assumed the role of This be, and betrayed a. maidenly timidity- , and "reserve that was, much appreciated. Ihe songs, and dances were faultlessly rendered and no member of the company failed tp deserve praise. We are pleased to announce that this really talented company- will re-appear . on Tuesday next, when the performance, I as advertised in another part of the paper, will doubtless draw a crowded house.
