The steamer Lyttelton, laden with flour, for Wellington, struck at the junction of the Wairau and Opawa i'ivers, last night. On reaching the flats she was found to be making water rapidly. Two thirds of the cargo is damaged by water. Tbe cargo is consigned to Turnbull and Co., Wellington. New Plymouth, This Day. The steamer Oreti, which went ashore at the mouth of the Waitara l.iver, on Tuesday morning, is not oft yet. She is not expected to float until next spring tide. The Court of Appeal opened this morning, but in consequence of two of the Judges not having arrived, was adjourned until Monday.
