The Borough Loan.

THE EPITOH- OF TIIE FEILDING STAB. Sib,— lt is to be hoped there will be a good attendance of burgesses at the Town Hall on Saturday eveningnext to discuss the matter of the proposed loanjof £6000, and that everyone who has anything to say on the subject w : illmake up his' mind to speak out briefly, and to the point. I have "hoard some say that in consequence of the previous temporary failures, for which we all know there were good reasons, thoy will take no further interest in the affair, and won't be at the trouble to attend the polling. This -policy, however, is simply absurd, and if carried into every scheme would entirely prevent any good project succeeding. Let the words of the old song we learned at school be remembered and acted upon— " If at first you don't succeed " &c. — and there is no reason whatever to predict a failure in this matter, so important to us all. My advice then is to all who really have thp prosperity of the Borough at heart to forget the past, and waive all party and even personal feelings in favor of the common good. Let us have a large meeting on Satuday night, and pass a unanimous resolution that we want, and mean to vote for the money. — I am, &c, Bubgess.
