(PEE UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, This Day. In connection with the accident on board the steamer Huia, the passenger who reported the occurrence says that he was on the bridge when it took place. He was lying down sick and felt something knock against his legs. On opening his eyes he saw what seemed to be a bundle in the act of falling over. Getting up on his legs and looking over the side he saw thnt it was a man, and imniediafelj' gave the alarm. Captain Berriman says that deceased was in excel ! ent spirits, perfectly sober, and had not seen him in better health. It is surmised that, on knocking against the sick passenger, the mate might have tripped, and fallen over.
