She £knd two children occupied au attic destituteof everything except a stniw mattress. The woman went home druDk on Saturday ni^h't, and a Hjrhted candle foil from the wall on the matuess setting: nre to it. The shrieks of the children, brought help, but the woman was found literally roasted in places, and almost skinless her clothes beiuj; burut and the i mattress consumed.
